A CAMPUS MISSIONARY MOVED FROM FEAR TO FAITH
@ CAMPUS MISSIONARY MOVED FROM FEAR TO FAITH
When you help a campus influencer overcome the fear of producing resources, you empower generations. Oluwaseun B. attended the Book Writing Workshop we hosted in collaboration with Africa Christian Text Books (ACTS), thanks to your partnership at TCNN Bukuru from May 29th-31st, 2024. Initially apprehensive about book writing, Oluwaseun concluded the workshop with newfound confidence, stating, "The workshop has inspired, challenged, and equipped me to tap into my untapped potential. I have moved from fear to faith in pursuing and excelling in this writing skill."
The workshop welcomed 32 participants and featured esteemed facilitators including Prof. Danny McCain, University of Jos and Founder of Global Scholars; Rev. Dr. Danjuma Byang, Shekinah Global Ministries and former editor of Today’s Challenge and Chaplain at the University of Jos; Prof. Katrina Korb, University of Jos; Rev. Luka Vandi, Managing Director and CEO of ACTS; and our International Director, Hankuri Tawus Gaya.

The comprehensive program covered a range of topics such as the Writing Process, Crafting Compelling Stories, Writing as a Tool for Campus Missions and Ministry, and the Use of Digital Tools and Artificial Intelligence in Writing. Participants also explored Writing for an African Audience: Cultural Sensitivity in Writing, The Journey to Authorship, Publishing, and Marketing of Books. Additionally, discussions emphasized the Character and Impact of an Effective Christian Writer, Documenting Legacy, and Inspiring Future Generations through organizational histories and personal narratives, including Memoirs, Biographies, and Autobiographies.
Rev. A.K. Gambo, a seminary lecturer, affirmed the workshop's impact on participants, saying, "Previously, I focused on professional textbooks. However, the workshop has motivated me to consider writing a popular book to reach a wider audience. This is something I need to prioritize." All of this was made possible because you partnered with God through CMLI. Thank you for helping us inspire and equip campus influencers to overcome their fears and realize their potential as writers, thereby empowering future generations.

GOD CHANGED AN INFLUENCER'S MINDSET
@Academics for Campus Transformation Summit (ACTS) 16.0
At CMLI, we believe that changing one campus influencer can transform generations of students. Your partnership with God made this possible during the 16th edition of our monthly signature program, Academics for Campus Transformation Summit (ACTS). Mrs. Alice J. shared her heartfelt gratitude: “I thank Pastor Gaya and his wonderful team for the amazing work they are doing in the lives of campus influencers. I pray that God will reward them greatly and remember their labor of love, which will surely not go in vain. This two-day seminar was a revelation for me. It has transformed my perspective on digital content creation. At over 50 years old, I viewed digital content as something for the younger generation, but now I have a different mindset. I can build myself and become a coach. I believe that from this point on, my productivity will increase. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!” We give all the glory to God and you, our partner.
The two-day virtual webinar, held on May 27th-28th, 2024, saw over 60 participants in attendance. Leading content creators with visible track records and impact—Sam Samako, Lengdung Tungchama, Dorcas Bello, and Hankuri Tawus Gaya—guided participants through sessions on Digital Content Creation, How to Start and Sustain a YouTube Channel, Starting and Sustaining a Podcast Ministry, and the urgent need for content creation for Campus Missions.
The event was also live-streamed on the CMLI Facebook page, and the testimonies continue to pour in. Thank you again for giving to the Lord and helping us empower campus influencers to reach their full potential.

LEADING WITH THE VISION
@In-House Staff Capacity Building
God gives a vision to one person, but it is sustained and expanded by many. To ensure our Campus Missionaries lead with the vision, the Staff's Monthly Capacity Building Training focuses on understanding and embracing the Campus Missions and Leadership Initiative (CMLI) vision. Staff members delved into the critical gaps that led to the ministry's founding, learning about the vision and their vital role in its realization.
Drawing lessons from the story of Moses in Genesis 25-35, where he received clear instructions from God, documented them, and shared them with the people, who then responded by giving their resources to make the vision a reality, Pastor Hankuri Tawus Gaya, International Director and Founder of CMLI, called on staff to emulate the skilled men God called to support Moses. This enables us to make God's call to CMLI a reality.
The training session was powerful and transformative. Our 11 dedicated staff workers were also equipped with skills in resource development, ensuring they have the tools needed to support and expand the vision God has given us.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we are making a lasting impact

85 BOOKS SENT ON A MISSION
@Bible and Book Initiative (BBI)
Books are transformers. Books are faithful missionaries. As part of our Bible and Books Project in May 2024, we distributed 85 books to individuals and libraries within Jos. These books are seeds of knowledge and inspiration, ready to make a lasting impact.
We donated 10 books to the Lamingo Community Library, enriching their collection and expanding access to valuable resources. The Kakaaki Children Bible Quiz received 24 books, fostering a deeper understanding of scripture among young participants. To support the Better Class Environment Children's Day celebration, we provided 30 books, enhancing the educational experience for countless children. Additionally, we contributed 18 books to the Association of Nigerian Authors, Plateau State Branch, in celebration of the Plateau Literary Festival, promoting literary culture and creativity. Finally, we gave 3 books to students who attended the Book Writing Workshop, encouraging their journey into authorship.
Thank you for making this possible. Your support has enabled us to reach these communities and individuals, offering them tools for growth and transformation. But our mission is far from complete. We aim to see every office, every family, and every community equipped with a library filled with life-transforming books.
You can still contribute by donating more books, helping us reach even more people. Together, we can continue to spread knowledge and inspiration, transforming lives one book at a time.

RADICAL GENEROSITY OF 42 YOUNG PEOPLE
@Unveiling of The Twelfth Despatch: On Writing and Becoming
In March 2024, we received an extraordinary gift—a manuscript for a 272-page book titled The Twelfth Despatch: On Writing and Becoming. This remarkable work was written by 42 young leaders, including both students and recent graduates. Their generosity didn't stop at the manuscript; each contributed five thousand naira (N5000) to ensure the book would be published. We scheduled the unveiling of the book for May 19th, a day filled with anticipation and excitement.
The event took place at Jenny Kitchen on Beach Road, opposite Union Bank, Jos. During the book launch, Mr. Tongjal W.N, the team leader, shared their collective passion and vision. One of the contributors, Nen James, a deaf young girl and student, spoke movingly about her chapter on writing as a deaf person, explaining how writing has transformed her life and expressing her joy at being part of this project.

Inspired by the stories and the cause, another young attendee pledged three thousand naira (N3000) to support the distribution of 50 copies of the book to the group of young people present. This was in addition to the two thousand naira (N2000) already raised for that purpose. The event was a powerful demonstration of radical generosity, showcasing how young people, moved by God, came together to support a meaningful cause.
Your partnership with CMLI is making all this possible. We witnessed firsthand how God is working through these young leaders to make a difference. Thank you again for giving to the Lord. We invite you to join in this spirit of generosity and support CMLI, ensuring we can continue to empower and equip the next generation of campus influencers. Your contributions, inspired by the example of these young people, can help us reach even more lives with transformative resources and opportunities

PROMOTING INCLUSIVE TRANSFORMATION
@The Deaf Book Club
Empowering one needy person gives hope to another. Ministry is about meeting needs with the resources God has provided through His children. In line with our commitment to inclusivity in advocacy for reading, we've initiated a book club for our brethren with special hearing needs.
Established on May 23rd, 2024, our virtual presence includes a WhatsApp platform and a Facebook Page. Led by Nendirmwa James, a co-author of On Writing and Becoming, our community received tutoring on reading and writing on May 30th, 2024, by Izang Alexander.
Our vision is to ensure every deaf child and person is involved in reading a book. Join us in supporting the Deaf Book Club, championing inclusivity in education and transformation through the power of reading.

CELEBRATING MOSES YAKUBU GULU AND MUYIWA JOSEPH
@Birthday of the Month
Our staff are invaluable assets, integral to the success and impact of our organization. At critical milestones in their lives, we stand with them in celebration. In May, we had the privilege of honoring two outstanding individuals: Moses Yakubu Gulu, our Director of Training and Empowerment (DTE), and Muyiwa Joseph, our Director of Research and Innovation (DRI) on their birthdays on the 5th and 20th of May 2024 respectively.
We marked their birthdays with a special outing, coming together to enjoy a meal and fellowship. During this time, we expressed our appreciation for their dedication and contributions to our mission. We also took the opportunity to offer constructive feedback, highlighting areas for growth and improvement as servants of God.
The celebration concluded with a time of prayer and blessing, affirming our support and commitment to their personal and professional development. We are grateful for Muyiwa Joseph and Moses Yakubu Gulu, and we look forward to witnessing their continued growth and impact within our organization and beyond.

Over 20 Partners Unite in Campus Missions Prayers
@CMLI Monthly Campus Missions Prayers
Prayer is the cornerstone of kingdom mission work. When we pray God’s Word, we align ourselves with His will and enforce it on earth.
At CMLI, we believe that praying God’s Word is the strategic approach to interceding for the campus. It's like a two-edged sword that transforms both us and our partners who join in prayer, yielding tangible results.
In May, we anchored our prayers on Isaiah 60, where God's Word calls us to arise and shine. Together with our partners, we prayed this text over our lives and the campus mission field. It was a transformative experience, impacting both our partners and campus missions alike.
Join us for our next prayer session in June as we intercede with Joshua 1. Together, let’s continue to pray fervently, knowing that our prayers are powerful and effective in advancing God’s kingdom on campus.
